Technology is taking the world to another unimaginable level. The German Auto maker is planning to unveil a self-balancing motorcycle.
According to The Nation Newspapers,
The German manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles, Bavarian Motors Works (BMW) recently unveiled a self- balancing motorcycle during its 100th-anniversary celebrations on Wednesday.
This self-balancing motorcycle is a future vision the company has for motorcycles to come in the next years. It has self-balancing wheels that are designed to stand upright even at a stop and it stability allows riders to use without a helmet.
According to the design director of BMW’s motorcycle division, Edgar Heinrich, he said that “Its self-balancing system will help protect the rider at any time. Any late reaction from the driver will trigger and the vehicle will balance out.”
“In the future, motorcycle riders will be able to enjoy riding without protective gear.”
Also, the world’s top maker of luxury vehicles has given it a futuristic year for BMW sports car with a flexible body, as well as a self-driving Rolls-Royce and an electric Mini model.
Many other countries authorised the protective gear and self-balancing technology is still in the developmental stage.
The company concluded that despite its contemporary features the bike will not be fully autonomous.
Heinrich added that “We do not envision autonomy on motorcycles,” because the driverless autopilot system has been studied globally following fatal crashes in northern China in January and in the US state of Florida in May.
